Dover District Council has secured funding from the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles for 49 electric vehicle (EV) charging points. Located at various sites across the district, 15 of these will be in Deal as detailed below.
The Council propose 6 on-street EV charging points at the 3 locations shown on the maps below. In addition, there will be 9 off-street EV charging stations allocated to the town centre car parks:
2 in Union Road car park, 3 in Middle Street car park and 4 in West Street car park.
By providing charging points DDC hope to promote the use of electric vehicles so that on-street parking will not be a barrier to owning a plug-in electric vehicle.
