The John Corley studio in the coastal town of Deal, Kent undertakes the design and manufacture of new commissions, the conservation and restoration of historic stained glass in ecclesiastical buildings, historic secular buildings and private collections. The studio was established in 1978 following John’s studies at Canterbury School of Art and training at the newly established stained glass studio at Canterbury Cathedral.
Due to their expertise and experience throughout the past thirty-five years and their on-going improvement and development programme the studio has worked throughout the U.K. and abroad. Clients include the National Trust, English Heritage, The Crown Estate, The Churches Conservation Trust, The Council for the Care of Churches, Church of England and Roman Catholic Diocese, Museums and Private Collections.
The studio offers a complete service from small domestic repairs to major projects. John and his team of experienced craftsmen and women undertake all work within the studio at Deal and on site. The team deals with each project from the initial report, recording, and removal from site, studio conservation and reinstatement. All work undertaken is fully documented and recorded for future reference.
