A fabulous new newspaper has been launched – Welcome to the Deal Despatch!
Edited by writer Kathryn Reilly, it is the newest edition to the Brightside Publishing stable.
Kathryn is best known locally for her popular Dogs for Deal book series and her sterling work campaigning for the reopening of the Regent and its long promised cinema.
And if that wasn’t enough, she is Chair at the Deal Museum and in what remains of her time, she is a regular contributor to World of Interiors and has been published in the Telegraph, Coast, Living Etc and the like. Phew!
Brightside publish free print magazines about seaside towns – magazines that tell the most exciting and inspiring modern-day stories showcasing the bright side of these amazing communities.
Their magazines are packed with features covering art and culture, music, business, food and drink, homes and interiors, local people (page 38 blush…), community issues and much more.
They are also award- winning: in 2020 the Margate Mercury was awarded Highly Commended Magazine of the Year in the Kent Press and Broadcast Awards.
Each magazine is led by an editor who lives locally and is passionate about their town, commissioning locals to write about what matters to locals.
Regulated by IMPRESS with no outside funding, and no sponsors, their magazines are completely independent and unbiased in their content.
